Denise teaches creative writing at Portsmouth College of Adult Education, and she won the Poetry Society’s inaugural Hamish Canham prize. She writes in response to place, history and people, and describes her work as broadly spiritual.

Denise Bennett has recently read at the Apex Gallery Portsmouth, Winchester Poetry Festival and Portsmouth Dockyard.
